As promised the hidden talent!!
There she is above my best friend and personal makeup artist TORN GEMMILL and believe it or not she has taught herself from scratch on how to do make up and her work really is fantastic.
SO HOW DO YOU GET THESE LOOKS?
MAC IS A GIRLS BESTFRIEND!!
Firstly prime the skin using Mac Strobe Cream (£24.50) which is an iridescent priming moisturiser. This should be applied to the T zone of the face.
The first step is to shape and define the eyebrows using mac dipdown gel in shade brown (£16). Once the brows have been defined they are then lined with mac concealer (17.50) to tidy and sharpen them up. Underneath the brow bone we used mac eyeshadow in shade 'nylon' (£13). This was used to highlight the brow bone and the inner corner of the eye. A warm brown was then used in the crease of the eye in small circular motions. This was repeated until the colour became bright. For this we used mac eyeshadow in shade texture (£13). We then used a darker brown in mac shade folie (£13) which was used tighter to the crease in order to darken the outer corners of the eye. This was blended into around 1.5cm from the inner corner of the eye. We then packed on black eyeshadow all over the lid using the black shade in the urban decay naked smokey palette. This was then blended out using the dark brown shade from the Mac burgandy times 9 palette. This was carried around the eye and smoked out underneath using the same dark brown shade. To finish, we applied Mac glitter pigment in shade copper glitters (£16) in the inner corner of the eye to make the eyes pop.
Once the eyes are complete, we then applied Mac studio fix fluid in nc30 (£22) all over the face using a foundation buffer brush. We then applied Mac nc20 concealer (£17.50) under the eyes, and on the forehead (in the T-zone area). This highlights the face and brightens the under eye area. The foundation was then set using Mac mineralise skin finish in medium dark (£24) which added a bronzed effect to the skin. Using illasmasqua powder foundation in shade 240 we sculpted the face by using this darker tone down under the cheek bones and up to the temples. This shapes the face. Using the zoeva rose golden palette we added an iridescent rose golden blush to the cheekbones and finished the face look by highlighting the cheekbones, nose and upper lip using Mac mineralise skin finish in soft and gentle (324). The final step was the lipstick which we firstly went for a nude lip and used Mac velvet teddy (£15.50) and lined with Mac spice (£15.50). We also used a darker lip colour by Mac called diva.
