What's a girl without her Makeup!!

         ALL ABOUT THE SMOKEY EYES

Hi Everyone!!

Summer is coming which can only mean one thing!! ITS PARTY TIME and what's a party without having your make up looking awesome. So this week I am going to let you in on some tips and who you MUST follow for the perfect flawless face and will provide you all with a guide to having your smokey eye on point!!

TORN GEMMILL (find her on Facebook & Instagram)

As promised the hidden talent!!

There she is above my best friend and personal makeup artist TORN GEMMILL  and believe it or not she has taught herself from scratch on how to do make up and her work really is fantastic.

SO HOW DO YOU GET THESE LOOKS?

MAC IS A GIRLS BESTFRIEND!!

Firstly prime the skin using Mac Strobe Cream (£24.50) which is an iridescent priming moisturiser. This should be applied to the T zone of the face.
The first step is to shape and define the eyebrows using mac dipdown gel in shade brown (£16). Once the brows have been defined they are then lined with mac concealer (17.50) to tidy and sharpen them up. Underneath the brow bone we used mac eyeshadow in shade 'nylon' (£13). This was used to highlight the brow bone and the inner corner of the eye. A warm brown was then used in the crease of the eye in small circular motions. This was repeated until the colour became bright. For this we used mac eyeshadow in shade texture (£13). We then used a darker brown in mac shade folie (£13) which was used tighter to the crease in order to darken the outer corners of the eye. This was blended into around 1.5cm from the inner corner of the eye. We then packed on black eyeshadow all over the lid using the black shade in the urban decay naked smokey palette. This was then blended out using the dark brown shade from the Mac burgandy times 9 palette. This was carried around the eye and smoked out underneath using the same dark brown shade. To finish, we applied Mac glitter pigment in shade copper glitters (£16) in the inner corner of the eye to make the eyes pop.
Once the eyes are complete, we then applied Mac studio fix fluid in nc30 (£22) all over the face using a foundation buffer brush. We then applied Mac nc20 concealer (£17.50) under the eyes, and on the forehead (in the T-zone area). This highlights the face and brightens the under eye area. The foundation was then set using Mac mineralise skin finish in medium dark (£24) which added a bronzed effect to the skin. Using illasmasqua powder foundation in shade 240 we sculpted the face by using this darker tone down under the cheek bones and up to the temples. This shapes the face. Using the zoeva rose golden palette we added an iridescent rose golden blush to the cheekbones and finished the face look by highlighting the cheekbones, nose and upper lip using Mac mineralise skin finish in soft and gentle (324). The final step was the lipstick which we firstly went for a nude lip and used Mac velvet teddy (£15.50) and lined with Mac spice (£15.50). We also used a darker lip colour by Mac called diva.

Every year Buzzworks has a staff ball to reward all their staff for the consistent hard work throughout the year. January 2016 was my first ball Gatsby Style and OH MY!!! it was amazing, totally all out for the entire night and I just couldn't believe how much work goes into making these evenings truly fantastic. Buzzworks Giving Back!!!

So YES!! Buzzworks are in my opinion the best company to work for in Ayrshire. As well as this Buzzworks love to give their bit back to charity and work hard every year to raise as much money as possible. They raise money for charities such as The Ayrshire Hospice and The Royal Hospital for Sick Children. Last Year in 2015 I took part in the Troon 10k raising money for a great cause. The list of activities are incredible and include the following...

  • Zip Wire

  • Sky Dive

  • The Kilt Walk

NEW YORK! NEW YORK!

NEW YORK - THE CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS!!
#5 BLOG!! This blog is going to be on NEW YORK city. When I turned 21 myself and my mum visited this amazing place, seen the most incredible places and was able to SHOP SHOP SHOP!! We stayed for four nights and five days and for anyone who is thinking of visiting NEW YORK I would say this is more than enough time as you are constantly on the go and I personally think any longer than this would be slightly too long. I would also say to all you girls reading to take an empty suitcase as the shopping is OUT of this world. Also make sure you pack your comfy shoes and if like me you go visit in the winter time make sure you have warm clothes to wrap up.
BEING THE TOURIST!!
NEW YORK views which are out of this world. My favourite by far was the Rockefeller centre. This incredible building is situated in the heart of Midtown Manhattan between 5th and 6th Avenue. This building is the tallest building in New York city!! So we arrived and as you can imagine the place was mobbed, so we decided to buy our tickets where the lady gave myself and my mum a time to return. When our time came we went up each level on the lift and this lift was like no other 'felt like we were in a disco' when we reached the top the views were just incredible, tall buildings looked so small and cars on the road were the size of as five pence peace. I cant explain just how great a feeling it was to experience this and I would recommend anyone to visit this building.
The Rockefeller Centre

FEELING LIKE I WAS PART OF HOME ALONE!!
SO.... Everyone has seen Home Alone Lost in New York right??
On our first day we visited central park which I will talk about later. This first thing which stood out to me straight away was 'The Plaza Hotel' all I could think about was the film Home Alone as this was the hotel featured in the film.
The Plaza Hotel
23 GOING ON 3
We also visited the MASSIVE toy store which is located not far from central park. This again reminded me so much of the toy store featured in the film Home Alone, this however is not the exact same location as was used in the film however for all who have seen the film and have either already visited the store or plan on doing so will totally understand what I mean . I may be nearly 24 now but I felt like a big kid.
SHOP TILL YOU DROP!!
Like I said before for all you girls who plan to visit New York I suggest you take  an empty suitcase because the shopping is out of this world. My biggest and best purchase from my visit was without a doubt my Louis Vuitton Bag as I sure many of you will feel the same (I LOVE A GOOD BAG) This shop was amazing and the people so welcoming. This store was located on 57th Street on 5th Avenue.

"AND I SAID WHAT ABOUT BREAKFAST AT TIFFANYS"
The Tiffany Store located 727, 5th Avenue was what I imagined and so much more. I must say very very expensive however the jewellery is out of the world. Anyone visiting this beautiful city must at least see Tiffany's.  Myself and my mum bought a Christmas tree decoration as a souvenir and also so I could keep the tiffany bag HAHA!!
Tiffany's NYC
CENTRAL PARK
Yet again a must see and again this reminded me of so many scenes from famous films or programmes for example 'The Friends Fountain' We done our tour of central park on the horse and cart which meant we were able to see everything, from the views, to the ice skating the list goes on. It also amazed me how many horses were available and just how busy they were all day everyday. We had a lovely Irish guy who took us round central park and to be honest who was like our tour guide this made it a lot more interesting and exciting. AGAIN this is a must do for anyone planning on visiting NYC.

MACY'S
151 34 Street NYC. Think Debenhams, House of Fraser but ten times better. Macy's offers everything to everyone, storing all the famous brands such as Michael Kors, Gucci to Victoria Secrets I could go on all day. I would recommend for anyone who plans on visiting here to allow yourself plenty of time to enjoy this department store, the place is literally huge and to make the most of it you need to be able to relax and enjoy each level of the store.
I hope you all enjoyed reading this and have maybe got some tips for if you ever visit the amazing NYC!!

STUDENT LIFE!!

WHATS A TYPICAL STUDENT?
So, everyone has their own opinion on what it is like to be a student at university. I know before I started I thought it was all about getting drunk and partying hard every night of the week and always being skint!! BUT... I was so very wrong!! it is very hard and in order to achieve my degree I have had to be dedicated, on the ball and be willing to work hard. I am currently a student at The University West of Scotland (UWS) studying my third year of business and currently working towards my Degree!! Over the past three years I have gained some life long friends, met some inspirational people and not only have I became more knowledgeable on my course I have went from being a young girl to an adult ready to go out into the big bad world and hopefully have a successful career!
AYR CAMPUS!!
The Ayr campus is the perfect campus for all students, As I stay in Kilmarnock it suits me perfectly as it is local and in driving distance from where i live. The campus is modern, providing up to date technology including imac's, a large library and learning space and also comfortable class rooms for attending lectures. UWS also provide a cafe area, large dining hall and union bar which also provide Starbucks coffee.

WHAT IS IMPORTANT IN UNIVERSITY!
I feel University is essential for all individuals who want to learn and take the next step in their career or possibly for those who would like to have another qualification under their belt. My time at Ayr campus has taught me several things and made me understand why learning and understanding is so very crucial in the workplace and going forward........

Teamwork work!!
This is essential!! for anyone thinking of studying a course at university or who currently are will agree on this!! my course has involved a lot of group work and in order to get the best results everyone must work hard together!! Teamwork also encourages motivation and inspiration from others!!

Word Hard, Stick In!!

"Don't wish it were easier. Wish you were better"

Encourage Others!!
I find this key from my own personal experience!! over the years there has been tears, tantrums and a lot of stress!! HOWEVER!! without my fellow class mates and family I wouldn't have got through the hard work. Contact each other through social media, create a Facebook chat, engage with each other via message on what's app. Sometimes a quick phone call to discuss the slightest thing can solve everything. I think by encourage others and helping them do well gives a positive atmosphere for everyone!!

#7 BLOG COMPLETE!! This was just a quick insight on my life of being a student hope you enjoyed. Seven down & one more to go!!
